The Palahockey project has a goal: the redefinition of the urban space scenario, in the transition of this part of the city from the shape of the 1934 World Cup to the one for the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Materials and proportions become the tools of this dialogue: the round and deaf concrete shape of the stadium acquires new vitality by talking with the ringing stainless steel of the parallelepiped.
The new Palahockey has been designed with great attention to post-Olympic use, it provides a capacity of 12,332 seats; the routes of both the public and athletes are studied in respect of the removal of architectural barriers.
